Move Right or Move Out: Why Proper Instruction is Non-Negotiable

Listen up, because this is life or injury we’re talking about. Movement is crucial, but there's a huge difference between doing a push-up and doing it right, between throwing a punch and throwing it with precision. You see, just moving is easy — any joker can jog, swing a kettlebell, or throw a kick. But moving with power, intention, and the right technique? That’s what separates a warrior from a weekend warrior.

People love to say, “Just get moving!” but let me tell you something: the wrong movement isn’t helping you; it’s setting you up for injury. Do yourself a favor and don’t pretend you’re getting strong while setting yourself up for a knee surgery six months from now. That’s a rookie mistake.

Every squat, every strike, every step needs intention. You can hit 1,000 burpees a day, but if your back looks like a question mark, then what are you really doing? Wasting energy, stressing your spine, and thinking, “I got this” while your body is secretly calling an SOS.

At Steve Woolridge’s Krav Maga & Fitness Center, we’re not here to watch you flail around like a bad YouTube fail video. We’re here to teach you to move right, to hit with control, to train with purpose. Because proper movement isn’t just about strength — it’s about injury prevention, mental discipline, and becoming the version of yourself that doesn’t take shortcuts.
